A man will face a Central Coast court after allegedly being involved in a ‘one punch’ attack that left another man in hospital in a critical condition.
The incident took place following an altercation inside a licenced premises on Fairview Avenue at The Entrance, at around 1am yesterday,
Police allege a 49-year-old man punched a 31-year-old man in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, where he hit his head and lost consciousness.
The younger man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a critical condition with swelling to the brain.
Police arrested the 49-year-old at Bateau Bay, and charged him with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
