Developer GPT says it’s in talks with a number of groups keen to buy buildings in the Newcastle CBD.
Expressions of Interest for several parcels of land closed last Thursday.
GPT says the offers received were in line with expectations, with some keen to purchase all of the land, as opposed to just parcels, which Newcastle council had feared.
The developer announced in August, that it would not be going ahead with a $600-million redevelopment, and would sell its assets in the CBD.
The sites, which include the David Jones block of land, have been valued at more than $50-million.
