UPDATE – The Hunter Expressway at Greta has re-opened, after an earlier crash involving a truck and a motorcycle.
A 37-year-old man has been flown to hospital, having suffered head, chest and spinal injuries in the crash.
He’s reported to be in a serious condition.

Newcastle bound lanes of the Hunter Expressway at Greta are closed, after a crash involving a truck and a motorcycle.
According to Live Traffic the accident happened at around 7 o’clock on Sunday evening.
Emergency services including a rescue helicopter remain on scene.
Motorists are being diverted via the New England Highway, and can rejoin the Hunter Expressway at Heddon Greta.
Westbound lanes are not affected.
