POLICE APPEAL FOR WITNESSES AFTER PEDESTRIAN IS HIT BY A CAR AND KILLED AT CUMBALUM

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was hit – and killed – by a car at Cumbalum yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Tamarind Drive shortly before 5.30.
An 81-year-old man died at the scene after being struck by a car.
A 57-year-old man was uninjured and taken to Ballina Hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established – anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
