WIN FOR BALLINA COMMUNITY WITH JET BOAT RESCUE SERVICE GETTING BACK ON THE WATER

There’s been a big win for the Ballina community with its Jet Rescue Boat service, now able to get back on the water.

Operations were paused in February, after New South Wales Surf Lifesaving raised safety concerns.

But with a new motor for the vessel, as well as updated training and incident procedures – it’s been given the green light to save lives, yet again.

The service’s 51 year legacy continues – under conditions, including only operating during daylight hours.
