After spending more than 20 years volunteering for local hospitals, Rita Richards was today crowned Lismore’s Woman of the Year.
“It was in 2003 that she took up the challenge here at the UHA and she’s filled out every position from the president to secretary to treasurer.
The Auxillary President also works in op-shops and visits patients as a pastoral carer.
“I’ve always been interested in helping people, being involved in lots of community activities over the years, and it just seems to be a part of what I do.”
