ELDERLY MAN ESCAPES SERIOUS INJURY IN YACHT FIRE

A 70-year-old man has escaped serious injury – after a yacht he was on, caught fire in a marina in Brunswick Heads.

Emergency services were called to the Brunswick Heads Harbor Way, where large volumes of black smoke could be seen coming from a 40 foot yacht.

Fire and Rescue crews were able to save the boat from sinking, after getting on board to extinguish the blaze.
