THIRD MAN CHARGED OVER WOOLGOOLGA SEXUAL ASSAULTS

A 27-year-old man is facing Byron Bay Local Court in relation to the sexual assault of three girls at Woolgoolga in February.

The girls, two aged 16 and the other 15, claim they were sexually assaulted by the men after they’d been given alcohol at a home in Woolgoolga.

The men and the girls had been in contact on Facebook.

Two men, 24 and 22, have already been charged, however police wanted to question another man who had left the country.

He returned on the weekend and was arrested by police in Queensland.

He was extradited to New South Wales and charged with sexual assault and inflicting bodily harm with a weapon.
