NORTHERN NSW LHD RECCOMENDS VISITING GP OR PHARMACY FOR COVID & FLU VACCINES
The Northern New South Wales Local Health District is reducing their covid vaccination schedule as part of the state-wide vaccination program.
Northern Health District CEO Wayne Jones says fixed clinics will remain on set days in Tweed, Lismore and Grafton, with mobile services visiting towns across the region over the coming months.
“We’re starting to see a significant decline in the number of people presenting to our vaccination clinics, and an increase in people going to their pharmacist, to their GPs so in response to that we’re reducing the number of days we’re open in our clinics,” said Mr Jones.
New South Wales health says by adapting the schedule, they’re able to return some of their health staff back to key roles in hospitals and health services.
