CESSNOCK HOUSE FIRE NOT TREATED AS SUSPICIOUS

A woman in her 50s was treated for smoke inhalation after escaping an overnight house fire in Cessnock.
Emergency crews were called to the property on O’Brien Street just after 1am, only to find the house alight, with heavy smoke billowing from several rooms.
The female occupant was treated by firefighters at the scene.
The blaze, which badly damaged two rooms, is not being treated as suspicious.
