LOST BUSHWALKERS FOUND SAFE

Two hikers have been found safe and well, despite spending a night lost in dense bushland within the Border Ranges National Park.

The alarm was raised yesterday morning, after the pair failed to return on Friday.

Following an extensive search hampered by storms, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter located the duo around 5pm.

Both were winched to safety and treated for mild dehydration and exhaustion.
