BETTER PROTECTION FOR COFFS HARBOUR NORTH WALL

Boats moored in Coffs Harbour Marina will soon be better protected from wild weather.
A $6.7 million contract has been awarded for the construction of a rock berm consisting of several, twelve tonne, concrete armour hanbars.
An improvement Member for Coffs Harbour, Andrew Fraser says will provide a protective barrier for vessels and passersby.
“The possibility of people being injured when we have rough seas because every time we have rough sea people are wanting to go look at it, you go look at it and you’ve got twenty to thirty foot over topping of the wall, now it’s an invitation for somebody to be killed or seriously injured.”
Construction is set to commence on the breakwater next month.
