GREENS ANNOUNCE A PLAN FOR FLOOD VICTIMS TO BE ABLE TO SUE COAL AND GAS COMPANIES FOR FLOODING CATASTROPHE

Flood victims would be able to sue coal and gas companies for the recent flooding catastrophe under a new Greens Party proposal.

Greens Leader Adam Bandt visited the Northern Rivers today – announcing a plan to introduce legislation which would allow victims, councils and governments to sue coal and gas corporations for any natural disaster from mid-2019 onwards.. deemed ‘climate fuelled’.

Bandt was joined by Greens Candidate for Richmond, Mandy Nolan, who is hoping to swing the vote in her favour at the upcoming federal election.
