BIG FUNNEL-WEB HANDED OVER TO REPTILE PARK

If you’re not a fan of creepy crawlies, look away now.
This giant funnel-web spider – named Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson – was found in Newcastle.
The creature’s since been handed over to the Australian Reptile Park and keepers say it’s one of the biggest they’ve ever seen.
“This ginormous male funnel-web spider will immediately join our venom production team and the spider will contribute to saving people’s lives through the work that we do here.” – DAN RUMSEY – HEAD OF REPTILES
