COUNCILS CHALLENGED TO ROLL UP SLEEVES

Councils across the country are being challenged to roll up their sleeves for the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.
Today Billy the Blood Drop stopped off in Tamworth to launch the Red 25 Council Challenge.
“It kicks off this Saturday the first of July and runs until the 30th of September. And the great thing about this challenge is that you don’t have to be an employee of the council to get involved, you can sign up and donate on their behalf.”
Last year 196 councils took part in the challenge.
And Tamworth will be looking to defends its title – taking out last year’s event with 147 donations.
“I’ll be lining up next Wednesday morning, third of July at 8am to donate plasma, which I do every fortnight.”
