NIMBIN’S MARDIGRASS PORTEST POSTPONED

Nimbin’s 30th MardiGrass protest has been postponed.

The event, normally held on the first weekend of May, has been moved to September due to the floods.

The annual cannabis law reform rally draws hundreds of protestors to Nimbin.

Organisers say the decision was made due to limited water supply in the town following the floods, with landslips and wet weather water supply continuing to take their toll on the community.
