TWEED MAN PLEADS GUILTY IN COURT AFTER POSSESSING DRUGS, KNIFE AND A FIREARM
A man has faced court on a string of charges, after police found illicit drugs, drug paraphernalia, a “talon” knife and a pistol in his car.
At approximately 1am Saturday morning, police responded to noise complaints in Banora Point.
Police searched his car, took the items, and arrested the 41-year-old from the West Tweed area.
He was charged with three counts of prohibited drug possession, possessing an unregistered prohibited firearm, and custody of a knife in public space.
He appeared at Tweed Heads Local Court today where he pleaded guilty to all five charges and was refused bail.
