IAN “BEAT” HILL IMMORTALISED IN MURAL

A fitting tribute for the Hunter’s own wildlife warrior, with a larger than life mural of late NBN presenter Ian “Beat” Hill unveiled in Kurri Kurri.

The much-loved personality passed away late last year, aged 65 – friends believing it only fitting to honour him in a BIG way.

“Even though Beat moved away from Kurri, even though only as far as Newcastle, during his life he once again belongs to Kurri in the form of this mural.”

Beat’s hit show ‘Around The Bush’ gained a legion of fans in the 1970s.
