“CEASE TO PUMP” HAS HUNTER FARMERS FEARING FOR THEIR FUTURE

Lower Hunter farming families fear their future will dry up under a new proposal from the New South Wales government.

The Department of Planning wants to introduce a “cease to pump” rule for the river’s tidal pools – to reduce salt levels in the catchment.
