Manning Valley Race Club has given the Taree track one final test ahead of next Sunday’s Mid North Coast Country Championships heat.

But no local horse as of yet has been given a chance to win one of region’s biggest events.

Born and bred in the Manning Valley, Rob Douglas joined the Taree bureau in June 2021 after a short career in print media. He joined the Tamworth team in July 2023. Rob graduated from Charles Sturt University in Bathurst in 2016 with a sports journalism degree.
