BUSH FIRE SEASON ENDS FOR THE REGION AFTER WET WEATHER

From today, fire permits across several North Coast areas will no longer be needed as the Bush Fire Danger Period comes to an end in Ballina, Byron, Tweed, Lismore, Kyogle and the Clarence and Richmond Valleys.
Traditionally concluding in March, mild summer conditions and wet weather has bought the season to an early end.
