A 16-year-old boy is due to appear in court charged with the bashing of a 93-year-old woman in Wallsend yesterday.
The woman told police she was approached by the youth who assaulted her in her backyard.
He allegedly hit her in the face several times.
She sustained facial injuries, grazes and bruising on her left arm.
She was taken to John Hunter Hospital where she was treated.
This makes me sick. How date that child approach and assault this elderly lady, in her own yard. The one place you should be able to feel safe. This is disgusting and I hope this child has the book thrown at him… But of course, we all know that won’t happen.. Angry angry angry.
