BOOROOLONG FROG SPECIES SAVED BY TARONGA ZOO PROGRAM

An endangered species of frog has been given a new lease on life after it was almost wiped out by bushfires.

The Booroolong frog, native to the Northern Tablelands, has a new home at Taronga Zoo.

The zoo has started a captive breeding program to ensure their numbers don’t decrease.

So far, 58 frogs are thriving in their new home.
