Northern Rivers care provider Lotus Palliative Care can now help more people in the Northern Rivers be comfortable at the end of their life.
Charity Jodie’s Inspiration donating $11,000 for the purchase of five syringe drivers.
Previously nurses had only one – on loan from St Vincents Private Palliative Unit.
“A lot of families and clients want to be at home for end of life care and it measns so much to them to be able to achieve that and for us to be able to provide that support and service enables that to happen,” Megan Paul, Lotus Palliative Care Clinical Manager said.
The syringes allow for medication to be dosed for 24-hours at a time.
