JUMP IN COVID-19 CASES IN THE NORTHERN HEALTH DISTRICT

The Northern Health District has seen an increase in Covid-19 cases.

To 8pm last night, the region recorded 48 new cases, up from 26 the previous day.

Byron’s cases continue to climb with 27 new cases in the Shire, eight in Lismore, six each in Ballina and Tweed and one new case in the Clarence Valley.

One case is in the ICU.
