MAN CHARGED OVER TUGGERAH CRASH

A 27-year-old man has been charged, following a crash on the Central Coast, which left a 35-year-old woman fighting for life.
Emergency services were called to Johnson Road, Tuggerah just before 9 o’clock on Thursday, after a woman was struck by a car while waiting for her vehicle to be serviced.
The out of control sedan also hit a water main, crashed through a steel fence and landed on top of a vehicle in a car yard.
Paramedics placed the mother in an induced coma, before she was flown to John Hunter Hospital suffering serious head and internal injuries.
The driver of the car, a 27-year-old man and his 30-year-old female passenger were treated for minor injuries.
The 27-year-old was later charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail and will face court again next month.
