200 FOOD HAMPERS DELIVERED TO TAREE COMMUNITY KITCHEN

There were plenty of smiles at the Taree Community Kitchen today with Catholic Care staff delivering more than 200 food hampers to locals.

Many accepting their early Christmas gift before heading inside for a hearty meal.

With bushfires, floods and the pandemic leaving families in dire straits, the assistance is more welcome than ever.

Volunteers delighted to help.

“We have a great sense of fulfillment to being able to provide the hampers this year to people who have been experiencing those significant challenges,” Catholic Care’s Kathryn Sweegers said.

Catholic Care also delivering toys to struggling families across the region this week.
