NORTHERN RIVERS SEES DROP IN COVID-19 CASES

The Northern New South Wales Health District saw another drop in covid cases, recording 26 new infections overnight, down from 34 yesterday.

17 new infections are from Byron, five are from Ballina and four are from Lismore.

There’s been a significant increase in testing across the district with nearly 17,000 swabs taken in the past 7 days.

There are five cases being cared for in hospital.
