WOMAN INJURED IN TWO-CAR COLLISION ON THE MID NORTH COAST
A woman has been seriously injured following a two-car crash on the Mid North Coast yesterday.
Emergency services were called to South West Rocks Road at Kinchela just after 7pm, following reports a Toyota Landcruiser had collided with a Haval SUV.
The driver of the SUV – a 25-year-old woman – suffered fractures and injuries to her arm, leg, and pelvis, and was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the Toyota – a 22-year-old man – and his sole passenger, were uninjured.
The man underwent mandatory testing at the scene and produced a negative result.
A crime scene was established by officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District.
Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue, with police asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
