LOCAL MACADAMIA CROPS THRIVE AFTER CYCLONE OSWALD

Local Macadamia crops have taken out the industry’s top awards, despite being significantly damaged by ex-tropical cyclone Oswald in January.

Greg and Joanne James from Knockrow claimed the gong for the Australian Macadamia Society’s large grower of the year while Tony and Lina KEMP-NITCH snatched the small grower’s title for their farm in Wollongbar.

The AMS praised the regions results as a remarkable turnaround for the farms.
