There are concerns a new fast food restaurant could contribute to Tamworth’s high obesity rate.
Tamworth Council is considering a second Hungry Jacks store – which would be the ninth fast food chain in the town.
2020 ABS Data shows West Tamworth as having the highest obesity rate in the Country at 61.2%.
The West Tamworth site on Bridge Street has been picked for the build.
