DRIVER CHARGED AFTER CENTRAL COAST PEDESTRIAN INJURED
Police have charged a man after a pedestrian was injured on the Central Coast last night.
Just after 7.30pm on October 28, emergency services were called to Mistview Circuit at Forresters Beach, after reports a pedestrian was hit by a car.
Police were told the driver of a white Ford Ranger utility allegedly crashed into a parked Volkswagen Amarok ute, before hitting a pedestrian and driving away.
The pedestrian – a 42-year-old man – was treated by paramedics, before being taken to Gosford Hospital in a stable condition.
At 10pm, officers went to a home at Marlowe Road at Bateau Bay, and arrested a 26-year-old man.
During the arrest, police allege the man became aggressive and assaulted a male senior constable.
Police took a white Ford Ranger utility and $5,945 cash from the home.
The man was charged with a string of offences at Gosford Police Station.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Gosford Local Court on December 8.
His driver’s licence was also suspended.
