BIG CONTRIBUTIONS TO BRAIN CANCER RESEARCH IN NEWCASTLE
Earlier this week, NBN News brought you the story of young New Zealand cancer victim Jemima Gazley, and her amazing donation to Newcastle researchers.
Today Dr Matt Dun was handed a cheque from her fundraiser for just under $700,000.
Jemina recently died of an aggressive form of childhood brain cancer, DIPG – Dr Dun will put the money, and tumour cells donated by her, towards finding a cure.
On top of that, Newcastle-based charity RUN DIPG has also raised more than $400,000 for research initiatives.
