A man’s body has been found following a fatal house fire on the Central Coast last night.
Just before midnight on October 19, emergency services were called to a granny flat behind a home on Terry Avenue, Woy Woy, after reports of a fire.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze a short time later, but sadly, a body and a deceased dog were found inside.
Police set up a crime scene, which has been forensically examined.
The body is yet to be formally identified.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
