LITHIUM-ION BATTERY PLANT TO BE BUILT IN THE HUNTER

They’re essential components in electric cars, and soon, lithium ion batteries will be made here in the Hunter.
Today the ground was broken on a new manufacturing facility at Tomago.
Operated by Energy Renaissance, the plant will one day employ around 1,700 people.
The first batteries are set to roll off the production line by mid-2021.
