FOUR PEOPLE TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING T-BONE COLLISION

Four people have been taken to hospital, after a crash on Sandy Road at Kootingal late this morning.

Just after 11.30, a van and a Toyota Hilux collided, trapping the male driver of the van and a 29-year-old passenger.

A man in the other car was taken to hospital in a serious condition with a head injury, while a 16-year-old passenger was treated for pelvic injuries.

They were all taken to Tamworth Base Hospital.

A fifth person escaped injury.
