A police officer who was hit by a police vehicle during a pursuit at Emerald Beach on Saturday, tonight remains in hospital.
The 41-year-old male officer underwent surgery in Coffs Harbour on Saturday following the incident and has since been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A 16-year-old girl has so far been charged with four offences in relation to the pursuit.
A critical incident team will now investigate.
