POOR JUDGE TAKES OUT THE BALLINA CUP

Coffs Harbour trainer, Anthony Honess has taken out this year’s $55,000 Ballina Cup with race favourite, Poor Judge.

“Poor Judge and Nick Perrett inside the 100, it’s racing away with the cup. Poor Judge up by five lengths over Pitt Street, but easy win to poor Judge.”

Poor Judge paid $3.40 for the win and $1.70 for a place.

Newcastle hopeful, Pitt Street came in second and rounded out the minors with Ballina trained gelding, Nobody’s Johnny.

The quinella paid $7.50, while the trifecta returned just over $215.
