THREE CAR ACCIDENT CAUSES TRAFFIC DELAYS

Two volunteer workers have escaped uninjured after a motorist ploughed into their parked cars.

The man and woman’s cars were parked on Ballina Road, when they were struck at around 11 this morning.

One of the volunteers had been sitting in the driver’s seat of his car just minutes before the impact.

“For no apparent reason, he’s just swerved straight off and hit Stewart’s car then hit mine.”

“I don’t know if it’s a writeoff or not, I don’t know.”

Eastbound lanes were closed while the wreckage was cleared.
