RALLY DRIVERS WANT MORE PUBLICITY NEXT TIME

Rally Australia has confirmed it’s hoping to better promote the world rally car championships next year.
Although round 10 of this year’s event staged in Coffs Harbour a fortnight ago was hailed a success, organisers are trying to stage a bigger promotional campaign leading up to next year’s rally.
A spokesman says despite rally drivers receiving media attention when they climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge, team leaders want more exposure next time.
Rally Australia says the logistics and cost of getting rally cars to a prospective media event in Sydney are now being considered.
