75 PER CENT OF NSW HAVE HAD ONE DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINE

New South Wales has recorded another 1,480 cases of COVID-19 overnight.

There are another 11 cases in the Hunter New England Health District – 2 in Newcastle, 3 in Port Stephens, 5 Lake Macquarie and 1 in Dungog.

Cases remain high on the Central Coast – 15 new positive cases were recorded.

Traces of the virus have been detected on the Mid North Coast at Bonny Hills – no new infections have been recorded.

“The Bonny Hills sewage treatment plant serves around 7,000 residents of Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area.

No recent cases have been detected in this location, so people are urged to monitor for the onset of symptoms and, if they appear, to immediately be tested and isolate until a negative result is received.” – Stewart Dowrick, Chief Executive Mid North Coast Local Health District.

75 per cent of people across the state have had one dose of the vaccine, 42 per cent are fully vaccinated.

There’s around 11, 000 people who currently have the virus across the state; 130, 341 tests were taken overnight.

1,136 people are in hospital – 194 are in ICU and 78 of those patients require ventillators.
