A young motorcyclist has died after running off the road and crashing into trees in Lake Macquarie on Saturday.
It’s believed the 18-year-old was riding along Boundary Road in West Wallsend around 3:30pm when his bike left the road and crashed into bushland.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, just south of Bridge Street, where both members of the public and paramedics gave the rider CPR.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t be revived and died at the scene.
A crime scene has been set up and an investigation into the crash is underway.
