CAR CRASHES THROUGH FENCE AT WALLSEND

A scare for a woman and three kids this afternoon, after their four-wheeled drive reversed through a fence at Wallsend.

The accident happened at around 12-thirty – the vehicle also clipping a shed before coming to rest in a backyard.

“We just rendered the area safe, chocked the wheels, and waited for the ambulance assessment, and one was transported to hospital.” – Jasson Bridge, Wallsend Fire and Rescue

A 60-year-old woman was taken to John Hunter Hospital for observation.

The cause is still under investigation.
