SEVEN PEOPLE ISSUED $1000 PIN’S AFTER DINNER PARTY IN SOUTH GOLDEN BEACH

Seven people have each been fined $1000 after gathering at a home on the Far North Coast last night.

Police were called to Gloria Street in South Golden Beach just before 7pm where they found seven people having a dinner party – 3 of which didn’t live at the house.

“A party arrangement up in Tweed Heads, these people are moving around in contravention to the Public Health Orders, they are being dobbed in by neighbours and people who know these events are occurring,” NSW Police Deputy Commissioner, Gary Woryboys, said.

The people were aged between 24 and 30-years-old.

It’s the second gathering to be shut down in the town in the last 3 days – the other was on Wednesday on Robin Street.
