Central Coast Rugby Union is still hopeful to finish the 2021 season, the committee aiming to have players return to the field as soon as restrictions are lifted.
The board is planning to hold a final series to award a champion.
Terrigal, who are on top of the ladder at the moment, will be the team to beat.
A final decision on whether the season will get underway is expected to be made at the end of the month.
Unfortunately it’s a different story for local league players with the competition cancelled earlier this week.
