CENTRAL COAST RUGBY LEAGUE ABANDONED

New South Wales Rugby League has abandoned ALL community competitions in Greater Sydney – due to the ongoing lockdown.

While it’s devastating for everyone involved in the game on the Central Coast, Erina and Toukley will be taking the news hard.

Eagles Coach Dane Allen says the announcement was disappointing but also expected.

His men were undefeated and favourites to win the club’s first premiership since 1991.

While Toukley, under coach Jake Fitzpatrick was on target for its first finals appearance in three decades.

The Hawks were outright second with an eight and two record – and the most potent attacking team in the competition.
