POSITIVE CASE NO RISK TO GREAT LAKES COMMUNITY

Hunter New England Health says there is no risk to the community after a woman who tested positive to COVID-19 in Newcastle on Monday returned home to Tuncurry.

The woman’s been isolating at home with her family – all of whom have tested negative.

They will be retested on day 12 of isolation.

The town has avoided being plunged into lockdown, with no community transmission of the virus.

Police remain in contact with the family ensuring they’re following isolation requirements.
