A student has tested positive for COVID-19 at Jesmond public school, which is now closed for cleaning and contact tracing.
Staff and students have been told to self-isolate and get tested.
The NSW Department of Education says it will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained.
