Central Coast Local Health District has confirmed a healthcare worker at the Central Coast Cancer Centre at Gosford Hospital is among the 239 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 announced today.
The staff member, a household contact of a case linked to south western Sydney, is in isolation.
All close contacts from the Central Coast Cancer Centre have been contacted and are in isolation.
They have all been tested for COVID-19 and have all returned negative results.
The Central Coast Cancer Centre presents no further exposure risk for staff or patients.
The Central Coast community is reminded to be vigilant for any symptoms of COVID-19, no matter how mild, and get tested immediately and self-isolate until you receive a negative
