DRIVERS URGED TO TAKE EXTRA CARE IN RURAL AREAS DURING HARVEST

Drivers are being asked to take extra care when travelling through rural areas, as farming communities prepare for a bumper harvest.

Increased workloads on farms means there’ll be more machinery on and around local roads.

Slowing down and keeping an eye out for tractors, harvestors and trucks can greatly decrease the risk of an accident.

As more produce hits the highway, we’re also being asked to allow extra travel time, particularly when commuting interstate.
